Simply Away (the "App") is provided by SimplyStaySee LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what information the App collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built Simply Away to help you plan moves and trips, and we only collect what we need to do that.
Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address. We use passwordless sign-in — we email you a one-time code — so we do not collect or store a password.
Information you enter to build a plan. To generate your checklist and timeline, you provide details such as your project or trip type, a location or ZIP code, destination, dates, budget, and any tasks, notes, or items you add. If you purchase a plan, this content is saved to your account so you can return to it and sync it across devices.
Location you provide. The ZIP code or destination you type is used to suggest relevant nearby resources (for example, local services near your location).
Device location (optional). With your permission, Simply Away may access your device's location to power its driving and route features (such as Route Check and drive-mode alerts). This is used only while you are using those features. You can grant or revoke location access at any time in your device settings, and the app works without it.
Photos of bookings (optional). If you choose to scan a booking confirmation,
ticket, or reservation, the photo you take or select is sent to our server, read once to pull out
the booking details, and then discarded. We do not store the image — not on our
servers, and not in your account. Only the details read from it (such as a flight number,
confirmation code, dates, and locations) are saved with your plan, and you see and can edit them
before anything is saved. Our extraction instructions explicitly exclude payment card details.
This feature is used only when you tap to scan; the app never accesses your camera or photos on
its own.
Your calendar (optional). If you add itinerary items to your calendar, Simply Away creates those events on your device. On iPhone it asks only for permission to add events and never reads your existing ones; adding a single item uses your phone's own New Event screen and needs no permission. Nothing about your calendar is sent to us.
Attached screenshots, files and reminders (optional). Screenshots, photos and files (such as a PDF ticket) that you attach to a booking are saved only in the app's private storage on your device. They are never uploaded to us or anyone else, and they are removed when you delete the booking or the app. Choosing a file in your phone's file picker is what gives the app access to it; we never browse your files. Reminders you set are scheduled on your device as local notifications and are not sent to our servers.
Purchase information. Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, through our payments provider RevenueCat. We receive confirmation of your purchase and your subscription status, but we do not collect or store your full payment card number.
Counts of plans created. When a plan is generated we record which app it came from, the plan type and category, whether the person was signed in, and the time — so we can see how much the app is being used. No user ID, email, answers, location or IP address is recorded, and these counts cannot be linked back to a person or to a plan.
Basic technical data. Standard information needed to operate and secure the App, such as basic request and error logs.
How we use your information
To generate and personalize your plan, checklist, and tips.
To save your plans and sync them across your devices when you have an account.
To suggest local resources relevant to the location you provide.
To process your purchases and maintain your subscription status.
To provide support, prevent abuse, and keep the App secure.
How your information is shared
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run the App, and only as needed to provide it:
Supabase — secure authentication and database hosting for your account and saved plans.
Anthropic (Claude AI) — receives the details you enter for a plan in order to generate your personalized checklist, and, if you use the scan feature, the photo of a booking confirmation in order to read its details. Images are processed for that request only and are not retained by us. It is not used to identify you.
Google — Maps/Places services to suggest location-based resources, and Google Play for billing on Android.
Apple — App Store billing on iOS.
RevenueCat — manages your purchase and subscription status across platforms.
Railway — application hosting.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and our service.
Data retention and how to delete your data

You can delete an individual plan at any time inside the App (open My Plans and delete it).
To delete your entire account and all associated data, email us at simplystayseellc@gmail.com from your account email address, and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and a trusted authentication provider. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.
Children's privacy
Simply Away is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above, and significant changes may also be noted in the App.
